Understanding ISO:

International Standards of Organization or ISO is the sensitivity of light you are allowing for your camera. No matter where you set your ISO as long as you balance it out with the shutter speed and aperture the picture no matter if it's in the dark or in light will always come out light. Both picture below were taken in the dark with different ISO's yet both look pretty much the same. So why bother changing them? If you look at the picture with the low ISO vs. the high ISO you'll see how "grainy" the high ISO. The ISO is high to capture more light for the picture making it not as good quality in the dark. While the low ISO has a faster shutter speed and makes the picture a better quality.

Understanding Shutter Speed:

Shutter Speed is the speed of how fast the opening or the shutter on the camera goes. For example the top picture has a shutter speed of 1/250. That means the shutter or opening of the camera opens are for 1/250th of a second. While the bottom picture leaves the shutter open for 1/25th of a second.  If you have a higher shutter speed it will decrease the amount of blurriness in the subject moving if not take the bluryness away completely. In the exposer triangle, if you want the picture for sure to not be blurry and that is what you want more then anything else then you change that first and then change the aperture to help zero it out and make it even, and the ISO should also change depending on the light in where your shooting.

Understanding Aperture:

Aperture is a technique on your camera that you use to let more or less light in depending on how large of an aperture number you are using. It is size of the opening in the lens is what your changing and its how much light you are allowing in. For example if you use a small number like 4.5, you are letting less light in and it can create a small depth a field or in other words blur effect in the picture. If you use a larger aperture number it lets more light in the camera, it will give you a large depth of field or it will make the whole picture clear and forced on everything. To get the best quality picture you have to make sure all your setting are set at the closest to 0. So after you change you aperture you change your shutter speed to help balance out the amount of light going into the camera. Along with the ISO which is also the sensors to the light to measure these other two tools.

Photographic Themes

I thought the shooting assignment was really hard and challenging, but I did like it in the end. When I look at the pictures and see the way it looks with everything having a meaning I really like it. I like the way we put them all together. I think it looks really cool and it's smaller so it hides all the mistakes some of the picture have! I really liked my "Abandon" picture of the island. I think it looks like creepy and lonely the way I took it and edited it. Another picture I liked was the "Ugly"one with my brother coving his face. I'm not saying he's ugly at all, just that when I think of ugly I think of someone thinking that of themselves and covering  their face. "Memories" is another favorite. I like the way I took it from almost underneath, and looking at it actually does bring back memories. I also really like the picture in the middle for "Happiness" the is of my brother in the swing. Theres nothing really specific I just it all together. I think most all of my pictures came out really nice. I think this represents my personality pretty well. There's no real connection to anything and it's kind of all over the place, kinda like my personality. Like I change how I feel a lot and I like a lot of different things that aren't really all connected.
